Lone soldiers are new immigrants that suffer from loneliness and homesickness.
While other soldiers return to a home on weekends and rejuvenate from the stresses, lone soldiers are left to fend for themselves in a country that is new to them.
As they have been risking their lives for us, we want to give back a little. The “Upper Room” gives the lone soldiers a home to go to on the weekends and allows them to meet other lone soldiers.
